Are you an expert in your field? Do you have innovative ideas, research, or strategies to share with a global audience? We invite you to submit a proposal for our Free Webinar Series, including our Book Talk Webinars!
We welcome proposals in a variety of fields, including:
Title: Choose a concise and engaging title. Avoid long titles.
Suggested Date: Provide a date at least four weeks in advance to allow sufficient time for promotion.
Suggested Time: Indicate a preferred time. The most effective times for reaching a broad audience across time zones are noon, 12:30 PM, 1:00 PM, or 1:30 PM CST.
Duration: Webinars typically last 30 minutes. However, longer durations can be considered based on the topic and audience needs.
Type: Specify the focus of your webinar. Options include:
Audience: Define the target audience. Examples include adult, continuing, and higher education learning designers, instructors, administrators, and trainers.
Speakers: Provide a short bio for each speaker and attach JPG images.
Description: Include a 150–250-word abstract describing the webinar's key concepts and learning objectives. For book-related webinars, mention the title, authors, and primary focus. Example: "In this webinar, the authors will present key concepts and strategies from their book, followed by audience participation and Q&A."
Session Format: Describe the format. Example: "The session will feature a presentation of key concepts followed by audience interaction and a Q&A segment."
Capacity: Note that the maximum number of registrants is 100, including the presenters.
Additional Materials: If the webinar is based on a book, please provide a high-resolution image of the book’s front cover.
Proposals will be evaluated based on:
Registration: SCOC Consulting will handle registration through its system and create a dedicated web page on SCOC Consulting to promote the event. Registrants will receive email reminders.
Promotion: Promotional materials, including flyers and social media posts (LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, and Google Business), will be developed and distributed by SCOC Consulting. Additional promotion includes email marketing and blog posts.
The Adult Learning Exchange Virtual Community Digital Library is a subscription-based resource. Facilitators and presenters of free webinars do not receive compensation for the recordings. Subscription funding supports the Virtual Community, enabling more free opportunities for its members.
