Dr. Conceição is Professor Emerita in the Department of Administrative Leadership at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and owner of SCOC Consulting, LLC. She is the Editor-in-Chief of eLearn Magazine and is the author of numerous books and publications. She is a member of the ASEM Lifelong Learning, Research Network 3: Professionalisation of Adult Teachers and Educators in ASEM countries. She is the recipient of several awards.

Dr. Knox is a researcher, scholar, and practitioner with many years’ experience in adult education and is currently an Emeritus Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His work his highly regarded both nationally and internationally. He has authored numerous articles and books in the field of adult education. As past president of the American Association for Adult and Continuing Education, he has chaired national commissions on adult education. He recently provided leadership for the creation of the international compendium Mapping the Field of Adult and Continuing Education.
Dr. Gibson is a scholar–practitioner with many years’ experience in adult education and distance education. He is currently an Emeritus Professor at University of Wisconsin-Madison. He was one of the originators of the Distance Teaching and Learning Conference at UW-Madison, he was on the board of the Distance Education Consortium, he produced many national and international distance education programs. He has served as an external evaluator on many grants that used distance education. He considers himself to be an instructional designer that always puts the learner in the center of the process.
Dr. Cordie is an Associate Professor in Adult Education at Auburn University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, a MBA from the University of Texas at Austin, and a PhD in Adult Education and Technical Communication from Colorado State University. Her specialties include instructional design, professional development, and distance learning. Cordie has over 25 years of experience working and consulting in academic, business, and military environments. Dr. Salto is Assistant Professor of Higher Education at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He holds a Ph.D. and an M.Sc. in Higher Education Administration, Policy, and Leadership from the State University of New York at Albany (SUNY). He specializes in the development of strategic plans and strategies to promote organizational change in public, nonprofit, and for-profit organizations. He frequently engages in consultancy projects with international organizations like UNESCO and think tanks.
Kate is an editor and proofreader with more than 15 years of experience. Her educational background includes an undergrad degree in journalism and a graduate degree in technical communications. Kate specializes in editing and proofreading all types of documents from reports to articles to dissertations to websites. She is currently employed as a full-time communications specialist at an IT recruiting firm and spends her days reading technical and non-technical documents, reports, and resumes. Dr. Martin is Professor Emeritus of Adult and Continuing Education Leadership at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. As a faculty member for over 36 years, he routinely taught graduate courses on program planning, administration and leadership, evaluation, adult literacy, urban adult education, and others. For 20 years, he served in several administrative roles in higher education, e.g., Department Chair, Director of Urban Education Doctoral Program, etc. A 2015 inductee into the International Adult and Continuing Education Hall of Fame, he has published eight edited books, and numerous journal articles and book chapters. He earned a Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Dr. Lehman is an author and consultant in the field of distance education. For twenty years, she worked for the University of Wisconsin-Extension supervising training in education, government, non-profits, and business and industry. She received her doctorate in distance education and adult learning and her master’s in television and media critique from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is the author of numerous books and articles, the recipient of several awards, and specializes in creating a sense of presence in online teaching and learning.
Dr. Conceição graduated from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Porto Alegre, Brazil, with a bachelor’s degree in veterinary medicine and a master’s degree in veterinary sciences. In 2010, she obtained her PhD in Biology at Université du Québec à Montréal in Canada. She has over 18 years of experience as a professor of medicine at the State University of Santa Cruz in Bahia, Brazil. She teaches science courses for medical and veterinary medicine students and is an expert in applying active learning and hybrid methodologies.
Pedro is an entrepreneur in the Brazilian digital marketing. He develops and promotes content about Expansion of Consciousness, Mindfulness, and Well-being at Humanos Fora da Curva, a company in which he is a partner. Pedro has experience with digital universe and the creation of infrastructure for content producers.
